Bharat Darshan tour of Kupwara students concludes

Kupwara, Feb 13:A one week Bharat Darshan tour organised by 97 Battalion of Border Security Forces (BSF) based at Trehgam, Kupwara for local students concluded today.

A group of 14 boys from Government Boys Higher Secondary School Keran, Government High School Mindian and Government Upper Primary School Naga, located near Line of Control were part of Bharat Darshan Tour along with a physical education teacher. On their arrival from the tour the group was given a warm welcome at 97 Bn BSF, Trehgam, Kupwara wherein the students enthusiastically shared their experiences and learnings from the tour.

The tour was flagged off by DIG, SHQ BSF Kupwara, Manish Dutt Upadhyay, on February 6. During the 7 days tour, these students visited places of historical and cultural importance at Mumbai and witnessed the multicultural and multilingual diversity of the country.

These students visited the major tourist attractions in Mumbai including Film City, Vidhansabha, Juhu Chopati, Marine Drive, Gate Way of India, Elephanta Caves, Fashion Street, Belapur Dubble Junction, Nexus Seawood mall, Atal Setu, Hazi Ali Dargah, Bandra, Bungalows of Film Stars, Campus Area of 102 RAF CRPF, local market and also enjoyed a ride in the metro train.

During the tour, students carried the message of love and peace from the Kashmir valley to the rest of India.

The chief guest DIG, SHQ BSF Kupwara, Manish Dutt Upadhyay presented them each a photo album containing their tour memories.

Students appreciated the arrangements during the Bharat Darshan Tour including accommodation, food, transport, curriculum, quality of the items issued to them. Participants further shared their experiences with the chief guest, officers and troops, friends and families.

The Bharat Darshan Tour provided them a unique exposure to witness the rich culture of India and also enabled them to gain first-hand knowledge about various developments taking place in different parts of the country.
