CGM NABARD and Director CSIR-IIIM meets Lt Governor

SRINAGAR: Sh. R.K Srivastava, Chief General Manager, National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) today called on Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha at the Raj Bhavan here. The CGM briefed the Lt Governor about various ways in which NABARD is providing support under RIDF to the UT government for developing rural infrastructure. It was further informed that this year NABARD focused on strengthening of Agri-Marketing, Post-Harvest Management and Irrigation Infrastructure and with a view to address the issue of improving farmer’s income, NABARD is currently providing support to 17 FPOs in the UT mainly for mushroom, dairy, vegetable, rice, honey, medicinal plant and carpets. SRINAGAR: Anti-Corruption Bureau Monday registered a case under FIR No 25/2020 in Police Station Anti Corruption Bureau, Srinagar against Abdul Rashid Malla, NaibTehsildar, Rawalpora Srinagar for acquiring huge assets disproportionate to his known sources of income. Samba: 22 Nov 2020, a joint team of BSF & J&K Police detected a tunnel originating from Pakistan side of IB & exiting into Indian side in the area of BOP Regal, Distt Samba, Jammu about 160m from IB, 70m from border fence & depth 25m. Based on leads available consequent to the encounter on 19th Nov 2020 with militants and joint team of J&k police, Army and CRPF at Ban Toll near Nagrota, Distt Jammu, it was learnt that militants were picked up by a truck from Vill Jatwal, Distt-Samba on the National Highway. Weather to improve in Kashmir from Thursday, mercury to dip: MeT

SRINAGAR: The weather in Kashmir is likely to remain dry after 26th November, a Meteorological Department (MeT) official said on Monday. “The weather in the valley will improve from 26th November but the mercury will take a dip after 27th November,” said Deputy Director Meteorological department (MeT), Dr Mukhtar Ahmad. He said that the morning and night temperature will take a dip and experience cold wave conditions. Ahmad said as predicted earlier, the higher reaches are expected to receive light to moderate snowfall while plains will receive a low intensity rainfall between 23th and 25th of November.
