3 Army Personnel Injured in Mine Blast in J&K

Poonch, Nov 1: Three army personnel were injured on Wednesday in a mine blast in Poonch district, sources said. Quoting sources, Kashmir Scroll reported that three army men sustained injuries in a land mine blast at Phagwari Gali in the Poonch sector. “The injured soldiers were immediately taken to a nearby hospital, from where two were shifted to 150 GH Rajouri for advanced treatment.” The injured have been identified as Y Shri Ramullu, Vimal Raj, and Veer Bharappa. The condition of all the injured is said to be stable.

Man killed, three people injured as house collapses in J&K’s Poonch

Srinagar, Oct 26: A 55-year-old man was killed and his wife and two relatives were injured when a 'kacha' house suddenly collapsed in Gursai Mohri village of Mendhar in Poonch district around midnight, officials said on Thursday. The owner of house, Riyaz Hussain Shah, 55, son of Saber Hussain Shah, his wife Shamim Akhtar, 52, and their relatives who happen to be their neighbors also, Irfan Haider, 30, and Wazaif Haider sons of Mehboob Hussain Sayed, were injured in the incident which occurred at around 12:30 a.m. The injured were later shifted to SDH Surankote. However, they said, Reyaz Hussain Shah succumbed to his injuries. Confirming it, a police official said that they have taken cognizance of the matter.

New Delhi, Oct 25: The Border Road Organisation (BRO) on Wednesday said that it has achieved a significant milestone by completing 260 meters-long Kandi Tunnel ahead of schedule in the ongoing Project Sampark on National Highway 144A (NH144A) which connects Akhnoor with Poonch in Jammu and Kashmir. The BRO said that this crucial project has been divided into eight packages, and there is a remarkable progress in enhancing the horizontal and vertical profile of the road. Mughal Road closed after Pir Ki Gali receives snowfall

Poonch, Oct 16: Authorities today suspended the vehicular traffic on Mughal Road following fresh snowfall in the Pir ki Gali area on the historic thoroughfare. Dy SP Traffic Rajouri-Poonch, Nawaz Choudhary said that snowfall in Pir Ki Gali and adjoining areas and slippery conditions on the road have forced the suspension of traffic on the Mughal Road. He added that traffic will resume subject to improvement in weather conditions.
