Ramban, May 24: In a bid to integrate wellness and stress management into the daily lives of personnel operating in high-pressure environments, the 84 Battalion CRPF successfully hosted the Jammu Sector Inter Group Centre and Battalion Level Yoga Competition from May 21 to 24 at its Tactical Headquarters in Boom, Ramban.

Over 50 CRPF personnel from various units across the Jammu region participated in the event, showcasing discipline, physical agility, and a deep commitment to yoga as a lifestyle.

Speaking during the closing ceremony on Saturday, N Ranbir Singh Commandant 84 Bn CRPF appreciated the active participation by the CRPF yoga practitioners and emphasised that Yoga is not merely a form of exercise but a way of life that can be a path to physical fitness, inner balance and spiritual growth. By imbibing Yoga into the daily regimen, CRPF personnel can go a long way in augmenting personal well-being and also the operational readiness. Yoga has now become a powerful tool for managing stress, improving concentration, healthy living and professional excellence for one and all.

During the competition, personnel performed a wide range of asanas, pranayama techniques, Surya Namaskar, prathna, etc. Participants were judged on posture, synchronization, coordination, breath control, and overall presentation.

Sub Inspector Balbir Singh of 76 Bn CRPF was adjudged the Best Yoga Practitioner in the above 45 years category, and Constable Devi Prasad Sharma of 84 Bn CRPF declared the Best Yoga Practitioner in the below 45 years category.

The competition concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, where the best-performing teams and individuals were presented with trophies and certificates.
