CUK observes National Mathematics Day

Ganderbal, Dec 23: The Department of Mathematics, Central University of Kashmir (CUK) celebrated National Mathematics Day on Friday.

During the event, presentations were made by students from various schools and colleges of the Valley and a model exhibition highlighting different mathematical concepts was showcased.

Speaking on the occasion, Dean School of Physical and Chemical Sciences, Prof Wali Mohammad Shah emphasised the role of Mathematics for the attainment of the goal of Viksit Bharat by 2047. He advised the students to actively participate in competitive exams like the Mathematical Olympiads and assured them of the necessary guidance and support from the department.

The model exhibition was followed by presentations. The session was chaired by Dean Academic Affairs, Prof Shahid Rasool, who congratulated the Department for conducting the event. He on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof A Ravinder Nath, assured the Department of full support to conduct activities, which lead to the development of mathematical science in Kashmir.
