Election training program held in Kangan

Kangan, Dec 4 : An election training programme was held in Kangan.

Sub Divisional Magistrate SDM Kangan Javid Ahmad Rather, also serving as the Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) for the 17-Kangan Assembly Constituency chaired the training programme held at Government Degree College Kangan. The programme saw the active participation of AEROs, supervisors, and BLOs. During the training camp, ERO 17-Kangan meticulously reviewed data provided by all 105 BLOs operating in the Kangan. Emphasis was placed on key metrics such as the EP ratio, registration and flagging of PwD (Persons with Disabilities) Voters, and ensuring gender balance. Notably, there was a strong call for achieving 100 percent saturation of claims and objections as part of the ongoing SSR 2024. ERO 17-Kangan underscores the importance of community engagement. He urged participants to sensitize and conduct special sessions in upcoming ‘Chanuv Patshalas’ to educate future voters about democratic participation. The call extended to organizing these sessions bi-weekly to effectively reach tribal and rural voters, fostering awareness.
