Govt appoints 103 Medical Officers to strengthen healthcare in remote, underserved areas of J&K

Srinagar, May 01: The Government on Thursday said that it has appointed 103 Medical Officers in remote and underserved areas of Jammu and Kashmir. They said the specialists will be posted to District Hospitals and Sub-District Hospitals to enhance service delivery.

Sharing information on X (formerly Twitter) Health Minister Sakina Itoo said: “Pleased to announce the appointment of 103 Medical Officers across J&K, strategically deployed to strengthen healthcare in remote and underserved areas. Specialists are being posted to DHs and SDHs to enhance service delivery”.

“A step forward in building a healthier J&K,” she added.
