Inspection conducted for proposed 100-bedded hospital at Baltal

Srinagar, Jan 20: Significant site inspection was conducted today for the proposed 100-bedded hospital at Baltal, dedicated to serving pilgrims during the annual  Amarnath Yatra.

The inspection team, comprising Director Health Services Kashmir Dr Mushtaq Ahmed Rathar,  K. N. Rai, Member of the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board,  representatives from Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), and officials from the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB) including Hashmat Ali, additional  development commissioner Ganderbal  Mushtaq Ahmed Simnani besides chief medical officer Dr Afroza Shah and other  top ranked officers  from various departments  diligently assessed the infrastructure and facilities required for the envisioned hospital.

The visit aimed to ensure the highest standards of healthcare for devotees embarking on the sacred Amarnath Yatra. The meeting brought together key stakeholders to meticulously examine various aspects, including medical facilities, logistics, and emergency response capabilities.

Director Health Services Kashmir expressed optimism about the project. “The thorough inspection undertaken today will pave the way for a comprehensive healthcare infrastructure that aligns with the spiritual significance of the Amarnath Yatra. We are committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of all pilgrims,” he affirmed.

The representatives from Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) highlighted their support for the project, acknowledging its importance in enhancing healthcare accessibility for the pilgrims. The collaboration between different stakeholders is a crucial step in realizing this noble endeavor.

The Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB) officials were actively engaged in discussions, contributing valuable insights to address the specific needs of the pilgrims during their journey.

As the team meticulously examined the proposed site, it reinforced the commitment to creating a hospital equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and a robust emergency response system.
