JKUM holds maiden convention at Tullamulla

Ganderbal, Dec 10 : Newly launched, Jammu and Kashmir United Movement (JKUM) on Sunday held its maiden party women’s convention at Tullamulla in Ganderbal district.

The event was part of the party’s ongoing public outreach campaign, aimed at expanding its grassroots base and gaining support from women. The convention, was attended by a number of local women, workers, and functionaries of the party’s women’s wing.

On the occasion, former MLA Ganderbal and president JKUM Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar said that women must emerge as a powerful voice in the socio-political sphere of J&K. He added that JKUM is committed to encourage active and meaningful participation of women to address the challenges that have an impact on them and their future.

Jabbar further said, “JKUM will not leave any stone unturned to ensure our womenfolk that has suffered over the years get a better and dignified life. We are committed to ensuring J&K women are socially, economically, and politically empowered.”
