KU team well-prepared to make a mark: VC

Srinagar, Jan 24: The Kashmir University (KU) deputed its Pencak Silat contingent, set to compete in the All India Inter-University Championship at Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU), Amritsar.

KU Registrar, Dr Nisar A Mir flagged-off the contingent of 22 students during a ceremony held here Tuesday. He was accompanied by Coordinator, Directorate of Physical Education and Sports (DPES), Dr Nadeem Ahmad Dar besides various other university officials and teachers.

In her message, Vice Chancellor, Kashmir University, Prof Nilofer Khan while expressing her confidence in the team being well-equipped to showcase their skills, said that she believes in the potential of the students to make a mark in the national arena as “the university has been preparing rigorously” for the championship.
