Landslide blocks Jammu-Srinagar highway in Ramban, commuters advised to avoid travel

Srinagar, May 09: Due to heavy rainfall and landslides, the Srinagar-Jammu highway has got blocked at T2 in Jammu and Kashmir’s Ramban district. The vehicular movement was stopped causing the disruption of traffic on both sides, officials said.

According to the official, “Jammu-Srinagar NHW (NH-44) is blocked at T2, Ramban due to heavy rain and landslide. Vehicular movement stopped from both ends.”

Concerned authorities have issued an advisory regarding the matter, according to which commuters are advised not to travel on NH-44 till the weather is improves and road is clear.
