Srinagar, Nov 10: Mukeet Ellahi Shafi, an 18-year-old student from J&K Police Public School Bemina, Srinagar, clinched the first gold medal for Jammu and Kashmir at the 37th National Games held in Goa.
Mukeet displayed exceptional skills in the 75-80kg weight category, securing victory in three consecutive fights against competitors from Bengal, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh.
His outstanding performance included achieving the highest score of 77 points in the fiercely contested matches. Hailing from the Sonwar area in Srinagar, Mukeet expressed immense pride in representing his state and school on the national stage.
The Principal and administration of JK Police Public School Bemina congratulated Mukeet on his historic achievement, highlighting the significance of his gold medal in the prestigious competition.
