3 Army Personnel Injured in Mine Blast in J&K

Poonch, Nov 1: Three army personnel were injured on Wednesday in a mine blast in Poonch district, sources said. Quoting sources, Kashmir Scroll reported that three army men sustained injuries in a land mine blast at Phagwari Gali in the Poonch sector. “The injured soldiers were immediately taken to a nearby hospital, from where two were shifted to 150 GH Rajouri for advanced treatment.” The injured have been identified as Y Shri Ramullu, Vimal Raj, and Veer Bharappa. The condition of all the injured is said to be stable.

Indian Army to acquire eight landing attack craft for operations in creek areas

New Delhi, October 17: The Indian Army has initiated the process to acquire eight landing attack craft for carrying out search and rescue operations in the creek areas and river basins in different parts of the country, said the army officials. The Army wants the crafts to be able to come in and out of water bodies without using a jetty. It is also moving ahead with a plan to buy six fast patrol boats under the Make in India in Defense programme, the officials added. Meanwhile, the Indian Army is planning to start a dialogue series named the Chanakya Defense Dialogue.
