100 e-buses launched in Srinagar under Smart City initiative

Srinagar, Nov 1: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Wednesday inaugurated an e-bus service in Srinagar and launched a fleet of 100 battery-operated vehicles procured under the Smart City initiative. These battery-operated environment-friendly e-buses will run on 15 designated routes. "I am very thankful to everyone associated with this project and also thankful to TATA Motors. I hope people of Srinagar will be benefited from this service," Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha said while launching the e-bus service. 4 LeT Militant Associates Arrested, Arms And Ammunition Recovered: Police

Baramulla, Nov 1: Police said to have arrested four militant associates linked with the Lashkar-e-Taiba group, seizing arms and ammunition in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district. According to a police statement issued on 30/10/2023, during a security checkpoint at Naradhiri Dangerpora junction, joint teams of Baramulla Police, along with 52 RR & 53 Bn CRPF, apprehended two individuals. 3 Army Personnel Injured in Mine Blast in J&K

Poonch, Nov 1: Three army personnel were injured on Wednesday in a mine blast in Poonch district, sources said. Quoting sources, Kashmir Scroll reported that three army men sustained injuries in a land mine blast at Phagwari Gali in the Poonch sector. “The injured soldiers were immediately taken to a nearby hospital, from where two were shifted to 150 GH Rajouri for advanced treatment.” The injured have been identified as Y Shri Ramullu, Vimal Raj, and Veer Bharappa. The condition of all the injured is said to be stable.

Kupwara, Oct 31: At least four persons died while 10 others were injured after a vehicle fell in a gorge in Nawagabra area of Karnah in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district. Quoting an official, KNO reported that the vehicle skidded off and fell into a gorge, resulting in the death of four persons. He said that 10 others travelling in the vehicle also suffered injuries in the incident. “The injured are being treated at SDH Tangdhar.
