New Delhi, 7 Dec: Union Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai on Wednesday said that there has been a substantial decline in militants attack from 417 in 2018 to 229 in 2021. While informing the Rajya sabha, MoS Home Nityanand Rai said, 14 persons belonging to minorities including 3 Kashmiri Pandits have been killed in UT of Jammu and Kashmir from January 2022 to 30th November 2022. He said that there were 123 terrorist incidents in J&K (till November 2022). 31 security forces personnel lost their lives in the line of duty while 31 civilians also lost their lives. "180 terrorists have been killed in Jammu and Kashmir in encounters with security personnel this year (till November 2022)", he said.

17 people injured after bus turns turtle in Rajouri

Rajouri, Dec 5:  Seventeen guests on board a bus carrying wedding guests were injured in a road accident in Tarkundi near Line of Control in Rajouri district on Monday, officials said. As per police, the accident took place on Monday morning when the bus was plying on Tarkundi LoC road, and it turned turtle. The officials said that seventeen people were injured in the accident with four of the injured are having serious injuries. Soon after the accident, teams of army from Rashtriya Rifles camp under the aegis of Romeo Force launched a rescue operation. All the injured were rescued who have been rushed to the hospital, the officials said.

A team of Revenue and Police Officers/Officials headed by Sub Divisional Magistrate Vijaypur Vinay Sharma conducted an anti-encroachment in village Palli, Kanda Madana, Rakh Barotia, Gurgaon Salathia and retrieved about 93 Kanal 13 Marla of Government land under Khasra No. 261, 1142, 931/840. 7 Lakh Rupees stolen from a store of Jammu

2 Dec, Jammu: On Wednesday night burglars stole around round Rs. 7 lakhs from a shop near Super Market in the City Chowk Shalamar, Jammu. President of Beopar Mandal, Ashok Kumar Gupta told media that burglars broke open the shutters of a shop and ran away with Rs. 7 lakhs. “The Police need to look at the non-local rehriwalas and shopkeepers as this purchasing place by no means witnessed robbery,” Gupta stated and expressed suspicion on the non-nearby traders working in Jammu. Following the theft incident, the shop proprietor has lodged a complaint with the Police.
