LG Sinha Condoles Killing Of Non-Local in Pulwama

Srinagar, Oct 30: The Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha has condoled the tragic loss of life due to militant attack in Pulwama. In a message, the Lt Governor said the killing of innocent civilian Mukesh Kumar, a resident of Uttar Pradesh, will not go unpunished. In a handout, LG Sinha said, “I strongly condemn the despicable and cowardly militant attack in Pulwama. Heartfelt condolences to the family of Mukesh Kumar. He further said that we are firmly resolved to eliminate the militant menace that continues to receive encouragement and reinforcement from across the border,” the Lt Governor said.

Rs 86,000 crore investment proposal received in J&K so far: LG

Pulwama, Oct 29: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday said that the Union Territory has received investment proposal Rs 86,000 crore so far. While addressing a gathering after inaugration of 12 CA cold storage, the LG said that in the last six months projects worth Rs 1250 crore have been inaugurated in J&K while 269 projects are in pipeline that will generate employment opportunities for around 16000 people. He said that the storage units inaugurated today will prove beneficial for fruits growers as it will give them time to sell their produce as per market demand. Soldier allegedly shoots self dead in Pampore

Srinagar, Oct 26: An Army soldier allegedly shot himself dead with his service rifle in Pampore area of south Kashmir's Pulwama district on Thursday. An official told the news agency that the soldier shot himself dead with his service rifle at Chandhara area of Pampore. He said that police have take cognizance of the matter under 174 CRPC. The official said that it was not immediately known as to why the soldier man took this extreme step.
