WAR ON DRUGS | Police recover contraband, cash from drug peddler in Shopian

Shopian, Nov 14: Stepping up their efforts to track down drug peddlers, Police on Tuesday morning arrested a drug peddler and recovered 4.5 kg charas and cash from his possession.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Tanu Shree told Greater Kashmir that Police raided the house of Farooq Ahmad Koka in Malhoura village and recovered 4.5 kg charas.

She said that Rs 45 lakh cash was recovered from the residence of the accused.

The SSP said that the accused had concealed the contraband and cash in his cowshed, shop, and residence.

She said that a case was registered in this regard and an investigation started.
“Police won’t spare the people involved in the drug trade. We appeal to the parents to keep track of their children,” the SSP said.
