Tragedy on Jammu-Pathankot Highway: Two youth killed in collision with Oil Tanker

Ramban, May 27: One person died while four others sustained injuries after a car in which they were travelling towards Chatroo from Kishtwar skidded off the road in Mugalmaidan area on Tuesday.

Police said a car (JK17A 8880) on its way to Chatro from Kishtwar skidded off the road and fell into a gorge, resulting in injuries to five persons.

They said the injured were rushed to Public Health Centre (PHC) Chatroo where from all the five were referred to District Hospital Kishtwar.

One person was declared dead on arrival by the doctors at the District Hospital Kishtwar.

Hospital authorities identified the deceased as Umar Yaseen, son of Muhammad Yaseen of Sigdi, Bhata Kishtwar.

They said that after providing medical aid to one critically injured person identified as Waseem Ahmad, son of Irshad Ahmad of Sigdi Bhata was referred to Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu for specialised treatment.

The hospital authorities said that the three other persons were responding to the treatment at District Hospital Kishtwar.

They have been identified as Auqib Yassen, son of Mohammad Yaseen; Muhammad Shanib, son of Sajjad Hussain of Sangrambhata Kishtwar, Noman Nijar, son of Sameer Ahmed of Shaktinagar, Kishtwar.
