Srinagar, Dec 19: The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has approved promotion of seven IAS officers of AGMUT cadre, posted in J&K segment, to the Super Time Scale.
According to an order, Shahid Iqbal Choudhary has been promoted to Super Time Scale notionally with effect from January 1, 2025, and actual from the date of assumption of charge.
As per the order, Prasanna Ramaswamy, Ram Niwas Sharma, Talat Parvez Rohella, Rukshana Gani, Rehana Batul, and Mir Tariq Ali have been promoted to Super Time Scale with effect from January 1, 2026, or the date of assumption of charge, whichever is later.
The MHA has also ordered promotion of 14 IAS officers of the J&K segment of AGMUT cadre to Selection Grade.
According to the order, Avny Lavasa, Anshul Garg, Vikas Kundal, Nidhi Malik, Nazim Zai Khan, Shakeel-ul Rehman Rather, Pradeep Kumar, Rahul Sharma, Narinder Singh Bali, Aijaz Ahmad Bhat, Majid Khalil Ahmad Drabu and Mohammad Akbar Wani have been promoted to Selection Grade with effect from January 1, 2026.
Shah Faesal and Sheikh Arshad Ayub, who are currently on central deputation, have also been granted promotion to Selection Grade on a proforma basis.
Three IAS officers posted in J&K have also been promoted to the Junior Administrative Grade. The officers include Ayushi Sudan, Deputy Commissioner Samba, Bilal Mohiuddin, Deputy Commissioner Budgam, and Minga Sherpa, Deputy Commissioner Baramulla.
