Srinagar, Oct 01: Jammu and Kashmir Police in Kulgam arrested three drug peddlers and recovered substantial quantity of contraband substances from their possession.
An official said that a special police party led by Incharge Police Post Mirbazar, under the close supervision of Addl. SP NHW Qazigund Kulgam, was conducting routine patrolling at Baghi Sakloo, Mirbazar. During checking, a police party intercepted & apprehended 03 suspicious individuals. On their personal search, police recovered 80 grams of charas and 2.7 kilograms of wet cannabis leaves from their possession. They have been identified as Zahid Bashir Bhat, son of Bashir Ahmad Bhat, resident of Bonpora Nambal, Anantnag; Aidal Ahmad Wani, son of Mohd Iqbal Wani, resident of Khandaypora Krangsoo, Anantnag; & Razwan Ahmad Itoo, son of Nazir Ahmad Itoo, resident of Hangalpahlo, Pahalgam, Anantnag.
The official said that a case vide FIR No. 201/2025 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Qazigund and investigation has been initiated.
