Pulwama, Oct 17: Two persons sustained injuries in a road accident that took place at Lurgam area of Tral in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Friday. The injured have been identified as Ashiq Ahmad, a resident of Pastina, and Suhail Ahmad, hailing from Wagad.
According to local sources, the accident occurred when the vehicle they were travelling in lost control at Lurgam, resulting in injuries to both occupants. Soon after the mishap, locals and police personnel rushed to the spot and evacuated the duo to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Tral, where they were given preliminary medical treatment.
Doctors at SDH Tral later referred both injured persons to Srinagar for specialized treatment after assessing the seriousness of their condition.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated an investigation to ascertain the exact cause of the accident. [KNT]
