Talk about Bill not BJP: Speaker tells Tanvir Sadiq

Srinagar, Oct 30: Speaker Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly Abdul Rahim Rather on Thursday admonished NC MLA Tanvir Sadiq for deviating from the discussion on the House
During the zero hour session, Tanvir Sadiq while speaking on a bill seeking amendment of JK cooperative societies Act 1989 put up by Minister Javed Ahmad Dar, mocked at BJP MLAs for staging walk out from House.

“Speaker sir, before speaking on th Bill, I want to question these BJP lawmakers who staged walkout from the House during Zero Hour in which we discuss public issues. Why they returned to House,” he said.

This infuriated the BJP lawmakers who objected the remarks of the NC legislator.

“I am telling you truth. You are habitual of leaving the House when House starts discussing people’s issues,” Tanvir Sadiq said.

Speaker Legislative Assembly admonished Tanvir Sadiq and asked him to speak on the Bill.

“Speak on the Bill not BJP. There is no mention of BJP in the Bill,” Speaker told Tanvir Sadiq.

Earlier minister Javed Ahmad Dar put up a Bill to amend the Jammu and Kashmir cooperative societies
Act, 1989 (Act No. XVII of 1989) (1.A. Bill No.7 of 2025).
