Srinagar, Dec 20: Bharti Airtel announced a major leadership transition, with long-serving Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Gopal Vittal set to assume the role of Executive Vice Chairman from January 1, 2026, as part of a structured succession plan.
Vittal has led Bharti Airtel as MD and CEO for the past 13 years. In October 2024, he was appointed Vice Chairman of Bharti Airtel Ltd in addition to his responsibilities as Managing Director, while Shashwat Sharma was named CEO-designate.
