New Delhi, Dec 24: Three people, including two police officers, were killed in an explosion in Moscow, Russian authorities said, reports BBC. According to Russia’s Investigative Committee, two traffic police officers noticed a “suspicious individual” near a police vehicle on Yeletskaya Street.
When the officers approached the person to detain him, an explosive device was detonated.
The two officers later died from their injuries, along with another person who was standing nearby, officials said. The explosion occurred close to the area where a senior Russian military officer, Lt Gen Fanil Sarvarov, was killed in a car bombing earlier this week. He died after an explosive device planted under a vehicle was detonated in the capital on Monday.
