Srinagar, Feb 25: Party President of Janta Dal United G M Shaheen has issued an appeal to the Government of India demanding immediate large scale intervention to secure and evacuate Indian students stranded in Iran as tensions between the United States of America and Iran escalate dangerously

“The unfolding geopolitical confrontation has created a volatile and unpredictable security environment placing thousands of Indian students particularly those pursuing medical and professional education in a state of fear uncertainty and psychological distress. The gravity of the situation requires not routine advisories but decisive executive action at the highest level,” said Shaheen.

G M Shaheen categorically stated that the safety of Indian citizens abroad is not optional and cannot be delayed by bureaucratic procedures or diplomatic hesitation The Government of India must treat this matter as a national emergency and activate a comprehensive evacuation mechanism without further delay. He demanded immediate coordination between the Ministry of External Affairs Indian Embassy authorities and aviation agencies to arrange special evacuation flights establish round the clock emergency helplines deploy dedicated response teams and provide structured academic protection so that no student suffers irreversible educational damage due to circumstances beyond their control.
