Jammu, Mar 14: Kathua Heros and Jammu Tigers registered victories in their respective quarterfinal matches to storm into the semifinals of the YSS-JKSC Cricket Premier League at M A Stadium in Jammu on Saturday. While Kathua Heros defeated Jammu Sultans by 67 runs, Jammu Tigers thrashed Kishtwar Kings by 95 runs in a dominant display with both bat and ball.
As per a statement, in the first match of the day, after winning the toss and opting to bat, Kathua Heros posted a competitive 168/6 in 20 overs, thanks to a superb knock by Puri Abhinav, who anchored the innings with 78 runs off 53 balls, striking nine fours and two sixes.
Kathua had a steady start with Saksham 25 contributing 16 runs, but it was Abhinav who controlled the innings with fluent stroke play. Later, Manitvya Sharma added valuable momentum with 26 off 19 balls, helping the team maintain a healthy run rate.
