New Delhi, Apr 22: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday expressed deep reverence on the sacred occasion of the opening of the doors of Kedarnath Temple, marking the commencement of this year’s Char Dham Yatra. In a message to devotees, the Prime Minister extended his best wishes and prayers for their well-being. He also shared his sentiments through a letter addressed to pilgrims visiting Uttarakhand for the annual yatra.
Highlighting the spiritual significance of the occasion, PM Modi said the journey to Kedarnath and the Char Dham represents a divine celebration of India’s enduring faith, unity and rich cultural traditions. He noted that such pilgrimages offer a glimpse into the country’s timeless heritage and spiritual consciousness.
In a post on X in Hindi, the Prime Minister said: “On the sacred land of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand, the doors of Shri Kedarnath Dham have today been opened for all devotees with full rituals and traditions. This journey to Kedarnath Dham and the Char Dham is a divine celebration of our faith, unity and rich traditions. These pilgrimages also offer us a glimpse of India’s eternal culture. On the commencement of this year’s Char Dham Yatra, I have expressed my feelings through a letter to all devotees coming to Uttarakhand. I pray that Baba Kedar continues to bless everyone and make your journeys auspicious. Har Har Mahadev!”
