New Delhi, Jun 6: As Chair of BRICS for 2026, India hosted the 11th BRICS Foreign Policy Dialogue in New Delhi on Friday, bringing together policy planning heads and senior representatives from the expanded BRICS membership.
Organised by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), the day-long dialogue featured thematic discussions on future forecasting and the key challenges and opportunities facing BRICS countries amid the evolving global landscape. Participants also deliberated on ways to strengthen resilience, innovation, cooperation and sustainability within the grouping.
According to the MEA, the dialogue provided an opportunity to exchange views on the vision for BRICS at 20 years, harnessing emerging technologies for effective service delivery, accelerating climate action and energy transition, and enhancing economic, social and institutional resilience.
The discussions also focused on cooperation for reforming global governance institutions and delivering people-centric outcomes through multilateral engagement.
The Indian delegation was led by Aparna Ray, Joint Secretary (Policy Planning and Research) in the Ministry of External Affairs.
