Banihal, Jul 09: The Jammu and Kashmir Police once again demonstrated honesty and prompt public service during the ongoing Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra by returning two lost mobile phones to their rightful owners at the Lamber Ground Langar site in Banihal.
According to Inspector Vicky Kumar, Incharge Lamber Ground Banihal, an Oppo mobile phone was found lying unattended at the Langar Ground on Thursday morning. The phone was secured by the police, and after proper verification of ownership, it was handed over to its rightful owner.
Later in the day, police recovered another lost mobile phone, a OnePlus handset, from the same location. Following the same verification process, the phone was safely returned to its owner.
Inspector Vicky Kumar said the police personnel deployed at the Yatra camp remain vigilant to ensure the safety and convenience of pilgrims. He urged yatris to take proper care of their belongings and immediately report any lost valuables to the nearest police assistance centre.
The gesture was appreciated by the pilgrims, who thanked the Jammu and Kashmir Police for their honesty, professionalism, and dedicated service during the annual pilgrimage.
