Budgam, Jul 29: Three Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel were injured after their vehicle crashed into a Chinar tree in the Sheikhpora area of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Wednesday.
Officials told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the accident occurred after the driver reportedly lost control over the vehicle, causing it to crash into the roadside Chinar tree.
They said three CRPF personnel sustained injuries in the incident. One of the injured personnel, was shifted to a hospital in Srinagar for advanced treatment, while the other two were admitted to a nearby hospital and are stated to be under medical care.
Meanwhile, local residents, along with police personnel, immediately rushed to the spot and launched a rescue operation.
Eyewitnesses said the rescuers helped evacuate the injured CRPF personnel, who were trapped inside the damaged vehicle, before shifting them to hospitals for treatment.
