Thousands of devotees from different parts of Kashmir gathered at Peth Astaan, Tujar Sharief, in Sopore for the 548th Urs-e-Pak of Mehboob-ul-Aalam Hazrat Makhdoom Sahib (RA).
The Urs began on 13 Safar-ul-Muzaffar and will continue till 25 Safar-ul-Muzaffar. Devotees have been visiting the revered Ziyarat Sharief during the 13-day observance to offer prayers, pay obeisance and seek blessings.
Several sacred Tabarukaat were displayed before the devotees, including the Holy Quran, Kamar Band Sharief, Qulah-e-Mubarak (Topi), Tasbeeh Dana and Kanga Sharief. The display drew large numbers of devotees who observed the occasion with reverence and devotion.
Moulvi Peer Gh. Nabi Shuloora of Kupwara participated in the religious proceedings and appreciated the arrangements made by the authorities and the Awqaaf Committee for devotees.
SSP Sopore Iftikhar Talib-JKPS, along with other police officials, visited the Ziyarat Sharief and reviewed arrangements for the congregation. Traffic management, crowd regulation and security arrangements around the shrine were also assessed.
Police and civil administration personnel were deployed at key points to regulate traffic and manage the gathering. Volunteers associated with the Awqaaf Committee assisted in facilitating the movement of devotees and maintaining orderly arrangements.
Speaking to the media, Peerzada Mohammad Sultan Makhdoomi, chairman of the Awqaaf Committee, Peth Astaan Tujar Sharief, thanked the Sopore Police, civil administration, volunteers and local community for their efforts.
He appreciated the coordinated arrangements, saying they helped devotees participate in the religious observances without inconvenience.
The congregation concluded peacefully, with coordinated efforts by the police, civil administration, Awqaaf Committee and local volunteers ensuring smooth traffic movement, crowd management and security throughout the event.
