A significant meeting of J&K pensioners welfare federation/senior citizens civil society was held in Srinagar under the Chairmanship of Lenin Sampat State President.
The meeting was attended by the District Presidents Secretaries and members from across the Valley. The agenda of the meeting was presented by Ghulam Mohi-ud-din Bhat, State General Secretary.
District Presidents and Senior Trade union leaders who actively participated and addressed the gathering included Nisar Ali Mir, Chief Patron, Haji Gh. Mohi ud din Wani district President Baramulla, Yayha Shafi, district President Ganderbal, Raja Majeed District President Anantnag, Gh. Hassan Malik District President Budgam, Aftab Ahmad Nehvi, Srinagar Gh. Nabi Bhat Khanyari Srinagarand Mir Mohd Shafi Kupwara.
The speakers unanimously re-affirmed their complete commitment to the J&K pensioners welfare federation senior citizens under the leadership of Lenin Sampat.
The key Demands raised are Issuance of Pensioners/Senior citizen Cards on the signatures of District Development commissioners of J&K UT . Enhancement of Medical allowance from Rs. 300 to Rs 1500 per month in favour of pensioners of J & K. The State President assured the gathering that their demands will be brought to higher authorities of J&K UT government. The meeting concluded with vote of thanks by the State General Secretary.
