Srinagar, Aug 25: Security forces recovered arms and ammunition during a search operation in south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Tuesday.
Officials said that during a search operation at Narwani area, jointly conducted by 34 RR and SOG Imam Sahib, arms and ammunition including a grenade, four mobile phones, two magazines of AK-47 rifle and four posters of HM organisation were recovered from an orchard belonging to Nazir Ahmad Wani son of Ghulam Mohammad Wani resident of Narwani.
Meanwhile, three persons have been detained in connection with the recovery as Ashiq Hussain Kumar son of Late Abdul Rashid Kumar resident of Laram Ganjipora, Kulgam, Arif Kumar son of Ghulam Rasool Kumar resident of Laram Ganjipora, Kulgam and Harris Manzoor son of Manzoor Ahmad resident of Anchidoora, Anantnag.
Further investigation has been taken up. (GNS)
