Srinagar, Aug 26: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and chief minister Omar Abdullah have expressed pain over the loss of lives in tragic road accident in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.
The duo expressed sympathies with the bereaved families and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured. They also directed district administration to provide immediate assistance to those affected.
“Pained by the loss of lives in a tragic road accident in Poonch. My thoughts are with the bereaved families. Praying for the speedy recovery of the injured. Have directed the District Administration to ensure immediate assistance is provided to those affected,” Office of LG J&K said on X.

Chief Minister Omar Abdullah also expressed deep grief over the loss of lives.
Office of Chief Minister, J&K in a post on X said: “Chief Minister has expressed deep grief over the tragic road accident in Surankote, Poonch, which claimed six lives and left several others injured. He conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and directed the authorities to ensure the best possible medical care for the injured.
The Chief Minister’s Office is in constant touch with the concerned authorities to extend all possible assistance”.
