Poonch, Sep 19: A fire broke out in the building of District Hospital Poonch, triggering a swift response from the Fire and Emergency Services personnel and hospital staff, who brought the blaze under control before it could cause any major damage.
According to Medical Superintendent of District Hospital Poonch, Dr Mohammad Shafiq, the cause of the fire was not immediately known. However, some windows in the rear portion of the hospital building were gutted in the incident.
He said the Fire and Emergency Services team, along with hospital staff, acted promptly to douse the flames and prevented a major mishap.
Police have launched further investigation into the incident to ascertain the cause of the fire.
