New Delhi, Oct 19: Three people, including a minor, have been detained in Rajasthan’s Kota in connection with the firing at Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff’s car in Mumbai, with one of them allegedly in contact with an associate of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, police said on Monday.

The suspects were detained at Kota railway station from the Pune-Jaipur Superfast Express in a joint operation involving Mumbai Police, Rajasthan Police and railway police. They were allegedly planning to flee to Nepal, Kota Superintendent of Police Tejaswani Gautam said at a press conference.

Gautam said one of the suspects was in contact with Anil Pandit, an alleged associate of the Bishnoi gang, which claimed responsibility for Sunday’s attack in an unverified social media post, the Press Trust of India (PTI) reported.

According to NE India Today, police sources said the suspects had allegedly received Rs 50,000 in advance for the attack. Two of them are from Haryana and one from Bihar. Their identities have been established and they are being questioned to determine their individual roles in the shooting.

Earlie, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said Mumbai Police had obtained important leads and would soon arrest those involved in the firing as well as their handlers. Speaking to reporters in Nagpur, Fadnavis said such acts would not be tolerated and assured that the police would track down everyone involved in the incident.
