LoP Sunil Sharma should explain Ram Madhav’s statement on Ruhullah: DyCM

“After the resignation of NC MP on November 3, it was BJP leader Ram Madhav who had stated that those attending Ruhullah’s rally were their (BJP) people. It was BJP itself – their leader Ram Madhav hinted that Ruhullah was their man. I’m not saying it. So now you should ask BJP and LOP Sunil Sharma to explain what they actually meant,” Choudhary said, while responding to media queries on the sidelines of a government event, regarding dissent within the National Conference and Ruhullah’s resignation.

“To us, Aga Ruhullah Sahib is a respectable person. But he has been misled by BJP. BJP, itself, has hinted vis-a-vis its links with him (Ruhullah),” Deputy Chief Minister said.

On November 3, Ram Madhav, in a presser in Jammu, had dropped mixed signals with his observation on Ruhullah’s rally in Budgam.

“I will not comment on their (NC’s) internal matter, but the National Conference has disintegrated itself today in front of everyone. Unqualified and heartfelt blessings of our people have always been there. That’s why (Age Syed) Ruhullah Sahib is holding another rally (in Srinagar). However, I reiterate that we have no role in NC’s internal affairs,” BJP national vice president had said.

Earlier on November 3, the Deputy Chief Minister had described NC MP’s resignation as his personal decision. “Aga Syed Ruhullah is a tall leader. I cannot comment on what he does. He has made his decision; now it will be for people to make their choice,” he had said.

As far as the National Conference was concerned, it always believed in consultations to resolve differences, Choudhary asserted, in response to a query about open rebellion within NC post cabinet expansion.
