Ramban, Nov 08: In view of the upcoming Diwali festival, Ramban Police conducted an extensive joint foot patrol in the markets of Ramban and Chanderkote, with the participation of SOG, CRPF and police personnel of all ranks, as part of heightened security and law-and-order arrangements.
The patrol was aimed at strengthening the security grid, enhancing police visibility in crowded market areas, maintaining vigilance and ensuring a peaceful and safe festive atmosphere for the general public.
During the exercise, SSP Ramban Anna Lata Sinha IPS, Addl SP Ramban, DySP DAR, DySP Headquarters, SHO Ramban, SHO Chanderkote and officers and personnel of CRPF and SOG monitored market areas, interacted with shopkeepers and members of the public, and reviewed the overall security environment. Special emphasis was laid on maintaining public order, preventing any untoward incident and ensuring the smooth movement of people during the festive rush.
Ramban Police appeals to the general public to celebrate Diwali peacefully and responsibly, remain vigilant, cooperate with security personnel and immediately report any suspicious activity to the nearest police establishment or dial 112 in case of an emergency.
