Jammu, Sep 30: Working President of the Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) and former Minister, Raman Bhalla has accused the BJP for “its failure to solve day-to-day problems of the people of the Jammu region.”
Bhalla on Tuesday visited Malikpur Panchayat in the RS Pura Assembly, where he launched a strong attack on the BJP leadership, accusing them of being “completely disconnected” from the ground realities. He said that despite getting overwhelming support from the people in elections, BJP leaders had failed to reach out to the public during their time of crisis.
“Instead of extending a helping hand to flood-hit families and mitigating their sufferings, BJP leaders have left people at the mercy of God. It is unfortunate that those in power are shamelessly indulging in cheap politics rather than addressing the real concerns of common people,” Bhalla said.
The JKPCC leader highlighted that every section of society had been badly hit by the recent floods. Farmers have lost their crops, daily wagers and laborers are struggling for survival, and small traders and transporters are facing mounting economic difficulties.
He drew special attention to the plight of transporters, pointing out that they were among the worst affected due to damage to roads and infrastructure, yet no relief measures had been announced for them.
