CM Omar expresses grief over loss of lives

J&K CM Omar Abdullah briefs PM Modi on Kishtwar cloudburst, says calamity claimed 60 lives

Srinagar, Aug 17: The Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Omar Abdullah, has expressed grief over the loss of lives in several parts of Kathua district, including Jodh Khad and Juthana. Notably, four persons were reported dead after cloudburst(s) hit parts of Kathua in the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday.

The Chief Minister also conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.

Omar Abdullah further assured that all necessary assistance would be provided to the affected people.

In a post on X, Office of Chief Minister, J&K wrote, “Chief Minister has expressed grief over the tragic loss of lives and damage caused by landslides in several parts of District Kathua, including Jodh Khad and Juthana, which claimed 4 lives and left many injured. He conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured, and assured all necessary assistance.”
