Poonch, Jan 22: Deputy Commissioner, Ashok Kumar Sharma chaired a meeting to review the working of Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL) with a focus on the implementation of Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS) in the district.
The executing agency, as per an official statement issued on Thursday, presented a detailed briefing on the current status and progress of RDSS works in the district. The Deputy Commissioner took stock of key components, including the material supply chain, feeder-wise work progress and the availability and installation of critical equipment such as electric poles, conductors, LT AB cables, DTRs and transformers.
Emphasizing the importance of timely completion, the DC directed the Executive Engineer (Xen) to prioritize the completion of ongoing works. To ensure quality and accountability, Junior Engineers (JEs) were instructed to carry out regular onsite inspections of installation works. The DC also underscored the necessity of maintaining geo-tagged photographic records of each project site to enable transparent and effective monitoring.
The meeting was attended by Executive Engineer JPDCL, Aftab Hussain; AEE Sub division Poonch, Surankote, Mendhar and Mandi besides head of NTPC & SJ and rep. of NTPC.
