Education minister’s decision on elevation of teachers timely: Qayoom Wani

Srinagar, Aug 30: The Jammu and Kashmir Civil Society Forum (JKCSF) has expressed appreciation to Education Minister Sakina Itoo and Director School Education GN Itoo for decision of elevating over 500 teaching and non-teaching staff across the Union Territory.

On behalf of JKCSF, Chairman Abdul Qayoom Wani lauded the initiative, stating that this major step will substantially bridge the staff gap in schools.

“The promotion and elevation of teachers, masters, headmasters, ministerial staff, and MTS staff will ensure that schools, particularly in rural and far-flung areas, no longer suffer due to shortage of staff and absence of Heads of Institutions,” Wani said. He added that Education Minister has always demonstrated her commitment to the cause of education and the welfare of employees. “By addressing the long-pending issue of staff shortage, she has shown her determination to strengthen the education system and provide better learning opportunities for students,” Wani said.
