Jammu, Jul 7: Jammu and Kashmir Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Sat Sharma has stressed the need to enhance party’s presence at the grassroot level across J&K.
He was addressing the party leaders while chairing an important organizational meeting at the party headquarters in Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.
The meeting was aimed at reviewing the ongoing organizational activities and planning future programmes with a focus on enhancing party presence at the grassroots level across the J&K.
Prominent leaders present during the meeting included BJP general secretary Vibodh Gupta; DDC chairperson Bharat Bhushan; former minister Priya Sethi; former Deputy Mayor Baldev Singh Billawaria; Morcha general secretary Reema Padha besides other senior party functionaries.
In his address, Sat Sharma emphasised the need to further strengthen the party’s grassroots network to ensure that the benefits of various government schemes could reach the last mile. He urged all party functionaries to intensify their outreach activities at the booth and ward levels, engaging with the public directly and addressing local concerns effectively.
Highlighting the importance of organizational discipline and ground-level coordination, Sat Sharma reviewed the implementation of various ongoing BJP programmes in different districts and called for regular feedback from mandal and booth-level committees.
He said, “The success of BJP lies in its ability to connect with people at the village, panchayat, and urban ward levels through continuous and meaningful engagement.”
The meeting also discussed preparations for the upcoming party programmes, including public awareness campaigns, and outreach initiatives focused on youth, women, farmers, and marginalized communities. Special emphasis was laid on holding programmes that highlight the achievements of the Modi government and its impact on the lives of common people in J&K.
