Srinagar, Nov 28: In a significant boost to its operations, the Eye Care and Research Centre, Karan Nagar has witnessed ten years of NABH Accreditation. Marking this significant milestone, the Centre has once again been granted Renewal of Accreditation by the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH) on 26th November 2025.
“This renewed accreditation under the NABH Eye Care Organisation (ECO) standards reaffirms our Centre’s steadfast commitment to maintaining the highest levels of quality, patient safety, clinical excellence, and ethical medical practice,” said a press release.
“Over the past decade, our institution has continuously upgraded its clinical protocols, patient-care systems, and infrastructure in accordance with evolving NABH guidelines, ensuring that the people of Jammu & Kashmir receive world-class ophthalmic care,” it says.
The accreditation process involves stringent evaluation by expert NABH assessors, covering every aspect of hospital functioning — from patient rights, clinical care, biomedical safety, sterile practices, emergency preparedness, and documentation, to staff competence and continuous quality improvement. “Our successful reaccreditation reflects the determination of our entire team to uphold superior standards at every level,” said Prof. Dr. Bashir Ahmad, Director, Eye Care and Research Centre.
