Srinagar, Aug 16: Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and JKNC leader, Farooq Abdullah, expressed his hope on Friday that the Election Commission of India (ECI) would ensure a fair and impartial election process for all political parties in the region. He emphasized that he does not wish to see any one party being given preferential treatment.
Speaking to the media in Srinagar, Abdullah pointed out the significant reshuffling in the administration and security sectors, suggesting that the administration may have had prior knowledge of the upcoming election announcement. He called on the ECI to investigate these changes and hold the administration accountable for any potential influence on the electoral process.
