Srinagar, June 25: Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha on Wednesday said that the imposition of Imposition of emergency on 25th June 1975 by the then Indra Gandhi led Congress government was murder of constitution.
LG Sinha paid tribute to “millions of Satyagrahis” who fought to revive democracy during the “darkest period of India’s”.
In a post on X, Office of LG J&K wrote, “Imposition of emergency on 25th June 1975 was murder of constitution.On #SamvidhanHatyaDiwas, I pay tribute to millions of Satyagrahis who fought to revive democracy & continued their struggle to safeguard constitutional values during darkest period of India’s democratic history.”
