Inter-faith conference held in Delhi to mark 350th martyrdom day of Guru Tegh Bahadur

New Delhi, Sep 20: An inter-faith conference was organised at the ICAR Convention Centre, Pusa Campus, on Saturday to commemorate the 350th martyrdom day of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji.

Spiritual leaders including Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, Shri Chidanand Saraswati, Acharya Lokesh, Goswami Ji, Bhikku Sanghsena, Haji Syed Salman Chishtyi, Rabbi Ezeikel Issac Ji, Rajyogi Binny Sareen Ji, Anil Joseph and Giani Raghbir Singh addressed the gathering.

Ravinder Pandita, President of the All India Kashmiri Samaj, was the sole speaker from Jammu and Kashmir.

He recalled Guru Tegh Bahadur’s sacrifice, saying, “We owe a lot to Guru Sahib, saviour of Kashmiri Pandits during Aurangzeb’s rule.”

The event, presided over by guest of honours Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Delhi minister Kapil Mishra and others, also saw Pandita being felicitated by the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee.
