Srinagar, Aug 1: BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh on Friday said that Jammu and Kashmir is witnessing a steady decline in terrorism and a rise in development and tourism under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Chugh said the recent killing of three terrorists in Pahalgam reflects the strong response of Indian security forces and the failure of Pakistan-backed terror outfits, as per KNS.

“Under PM Modi’s leadership, terrorism is declining, tourism is growing, and Jammu and Kashmir is moving ahead with confidence. But Pakistan and its proxies want to push the region back into poverty, curfews, and violence. Their plans will not succeed,” Chugh said.

He said BJP and the central government are committed to transforming J&K into a peaceful and developed region, while accusing some local leaders of failing the people.

Targeting NC vice president Omar Abdullah, Chugh questioned the delivery of his past promises. “Where are the 5,000 rupees per household, the jobs, the 12 gas cylinders? The people of J&K deserve answers,” he said.
