Sopore, Nov 10: The Kashmir Mercantile Cooperative Bank (KAMCO) achieved yet another milestone by inaugurating its 6th business branch at KunzerTangmarg on Monday. The branch was formally inaugurated by Agriculture Minister Javid Ahmad Dar in presence of MLA GulmargFarooq Ahmad Shah, MLA SoporeIrshadRasoolKar, Managing Director of Bank Fayaz Ahmad Seero, and Chairman of the Board along with other members and officials of the bank.
The inaugural function witnessed a large gathering of dignitaries, bank officers, local business representatives, and members of the public, reflecting the growing trust and outreach of KAMCO across the region.
Speaking to the media, Managing Director Fayaz Ahmad Seero said that the bank has been continuously working to enhance accessibility and quality of banking services for the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
“KAMCO is now a fully digitalised cooperative bank, offering efficient and customer-friendly banking facilities. The people of Kunzer, Tangmarg, and adjoining areas will greatly benefit from the new branch,” he said. Seero further added that the bank plans to expand its network to other districts, including Srinagar, Budgam, and Ganderbal, in the near future. The inauguration marks a significant step in the bank’s mission to promote financial inclusion, empower rural and semi-urban communities, and provide modern digital banking solutions at people’s doorsteps.
