KPDCL announces power shutdown

Srinagar, Apr 06: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) today said that due to unavoidable repair and maintenance works in few transmission lines, the power supply will remain affected in several parts of Kashmir division in coming days.

In a statement issued, Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL said that the shutdown of 33 KV Exhibition line will be observed due to which power supply to Exhibition, Hari Singh High Street, PCR, Batamaloo, Baranpather, Danderkha and adjoining areas will be affected from 10 AM to 03 PM on 12 April 2026.

Similarly,  shutdown of 33 KV Exhibition-Bemina I, Bemina II line will be observed due to which power supply to Police Colony, Iqbalabad Colony, Hamza Colony, Sir Syed Abad, Qammerwari Market, Chattabal, SK Colony, Tauheedabad, Bemina PDD Complex, Medical Hostel and adjoining areas will be affected from 10 AM to 01 PM on 15 & 18 April 2026.

Likewise, shutdown of 33 KV Kremshore Line will be observed due to which power supply to Old Kremshore, Arigam, Nuner, Shamsabad, Dreygam, Branwar, Sursyar, Raithan, Khansahib, Shinipora, Yarikhah, Essential and adjoining areas will be affected from 10 AM to 03 PM on 07 April 2026.

Similarly, shutdown of 33 KV Badampora Wangipora Tapline and 33 KV Badampora Army Hakbara line will be observed due to which power supply to Batwina, Nowgam, Wangipora, Zazna, Ahan, Waskura, Kharbagh, Sumbal, Nesbal, Hajin, Preng, Madwan, Banyar, Hakbara, Chendergeer and adjoining areas will be affected from 10 AM to 03 PM on 08, 19 & 25 April 2026.

Further, shutdown of 33 KV Badampora Lar Tulmulla line and 33 kV Badampora Kurhama Dab line will be observed due to which power supply to Lar, Waliwar, Watlar, Repore, Tulmulla, Dangerpora, Watlar, Theeru, Larsun, Kurhama, Youngoora, Baroosa, Old Dab, Checki, Baba Salun, Sainik School, Rabitar, Kondbal, GCET, Safapora and adjoining areas will be affected from 10 AM to 03 PM on 11, 16 & 28 April 2026.
